House Sales and Purchases

Move home with less stress, at a fixed fee, with a dedicated team member from start to finish.

Buying or selling a home is one of the biggest, and most stressful, things you will do. At Salehs, we give you calm, trusted conveyancing legal advice so your move runs smoothly and nothing legal is missed.

Specialist conveyancing for homes and investment properties

A house move involves a lot of moving parts: searches, enquiries, contracts, a mortgage, a chain and a completion date that everyone is waiting on. When the legal work is handled well, you barely notice it. When it is not, the stress can land on you.

Our experienced conveyancing team treats communication as the most important part of the job. You will have a dedicated solicitor looking after your sale or purchase, keeping you updated and making sure every legal aspect is properly dealt with, all at a fixed fee with no hidden extras.

We can help

  • When you are buying or selling a freehold or leasehold house or flat and want it handled calmly and correctly.
  • When you are buying a new build and need the legal detail and deadlines managed properly.
  • When you are remortgaging and want the legal side dealt with quickly.
  • When you are buying an investment property and need the transaction structured the right way.
  • When you are transferring equity or ownership, for example adding or removing someone from the title.
  • When you are buying or selling at auction and need fast, trusted legal support.

How we work

  1. Get in touch. Tell us about your sale or purchase and share any paperwork, such as a memorandum of sale.
  2. We assess your options. You get a clear fixed-fee quote, the likely timescales and what happens next, up front.
  3. We handle it through to completion. Your named contact manages the legal work and keeps you informed right up to completion and beyond.

Why choose us

Our residential property work is led by Julia Khan, Partner and Head of Residential Property, and handled by an experienced team of solicitors, licensed conveyancers and conveyancers. When your move touches other areas, such as a Will, a trust or a dispute, we can bring in colleagues across the firm.

Common questions

Conveyancing is the legal process of transferring ownership of a property from one person to another. It covers the searches, contracts, enquiries and final transfer of funds and title.

Most transactions take a number of weeks from offer to completion, though it depends on the chain, the mortgage and the searches. Typically, it can be between 12 – 16 weeks but every transaction is different. We keep you updated on progress throughout.

If you own the freehold, you own the property and the land it stands on outright. With a leasehold, you own the property for a fixed number of years and usually pay ground rent or service charges to a freeholder.

We give you a fixed-fee quote at the start, and fees are usually settled on completion. You can find fee information here.

Yes. We act on investment purchases, transfers of equity and auction sales and purchases, as well as standard home moves.
