Catherine Allen is a licensed licensed conveyancer at Salehs Solicitors. She handles a wide range of residential conveyancing transactions for private individuals and property investors.
Background & Experience
She joined the legal profession as a secretary in 1985, working in the centre of Manchester, gaining experience in many areas of the law but eventually realised that her career lay in conveyancing. After a career break between 1995 and 2000 to study at university for a degree in economic and social history, and an MA in heritage management she returned to the law and qualified as a licensed conveyancer in 2006. She worked at a large local firm for 18 years then joined Salehs LLP in 2019, initially dealing with secured lending/bridging loans and then in 2020 moved into our residential conveyancing department.
Expertise
Catherine has expertise in all aspects of residential conveyancing, including new properties, apartments, transfers of equity and remortgages as well as sales and purchases of residential dwellinghouses. She also handles buy to let purchases as well as acting for private individuals moving home and is experienced in lease extensions, staircasing shared ownership properties and possessory title applications.

Catherine represents private individuals and companies investing in properties within the private ownership and buy to let market.
Outside of Work
Catherine enjoys visiting local public gardens and amateur photography, taking pictures mostly of trees and flowers. She is also a member of her local Women’s Institute and regularly partakes in meetings and fund-raising activities for local charities. She also enjoys days out and exploring the UK and Europe by coach. Out of all the places she has visited, her favourite destination is Northumberland.
