About Richard Saleh
Richard started his career in Industry giving him a different perspective on the value of legal advice in the commercial world. Throughout his legal career initially as a partner in a City Centre practice before establishing the firm in 1987, Richard gained a wide range of expertise in commercial litigation, commercial property and insolvency work before focusing solely on corporate and commercial work.
This broad range of expertise has enabled him to give a broader perspective to the advice given to clients on commercial matters.
As fresh work opportunities and specialisms presented themselves within the broad sphere of his work, Richard developed more expertise in these areas and still considers his legal career as a perpetual learning experience.
Richard is also the Managing Partner of the Firm and has overseen its growth from the sole practice he established to the well managed structure that it is today, by a series of well integrated acquisitions and lateral hires as well as the development of personnel and systems to combat the never ending challenges that have made the growth of law firms so difficult in the last decade.
Richard takes the view that all his experience managing and developing the Firm, has enabled him to give a more balanced and commercial view to the issues his clients encounter in their own legal affairs.
As well as specialising in corporate and commercial work and being focused on giving a high level of service to commercial clients, because of his broad range of expertise Richard also regularly mentors other lawyers in the Firm, always endeavouring to encourage colleagues to take a commercial approach to dealing with legal problems.
Most of Richard’s work has come from established clients which is an indication of client satisfaction with the service he provides and the contribution he has made to their businesses. He has acted on several high value corporate transactions across different sectors as well as being involved in intellectual property, trading, distributorship and security documentation, acting for private and public companies as well co-operative societies.
His main focus as a practising lawyer is to make the best of all the experience and expertise he has developed for the benefit of his clients and colleagues and to endeavour to provide an efficient and user friendly service to clients.
Outside work, Richard enjoys walking in the Lake District, going to the gym and supporting a local premier league football club.
