About Alan Hawkes

Alan started his career in central and local government exposing him to a wide range of management disciplines and styles. As the Appeals Officer for Metropolitan Borough of Wirral he would regularly represent the Council at Valuation Tribunals, Housing Benefit Review Boards and Magistrates’ Court. Realising that progression opportunities were limited, he undertook a Masters of Business Administration qualification. This enabled him to move into the legal industry where he was able to use his legal knowledge and his management experience to a greater extent.

Alan’s responsibility is to manage the business effectively and efficiently, creating, implementing and monitoring processes and procedures for the smooth running of the Firm. Alan is our first point of contact with our regulatory body and has the responsibility to ensure that we act in accordance with guidelines set out for solicitors to safeguard our client’s interests. As such he is also our Complaints Manager.

Outside work, Alan likes to keep fit and is a keen badminton player. He spends many hours on his allotment tending to his plants hoping one day his vegetables will actually be appreciated by his children.
